SUMMARY:Stoop Sessions- Canceled Due to Weather
DESCRIPTION:This event has been canceled due to weather. Check back with th
e Historical Society of Forest Park and the Forest Park Arts Alliance for
the rescheduled event. \n\nForest Park Arts Alliance connects local music
ians with residents to host a 1-hour concert.\n\nStoopSessions are open to
the public and free of charge. Join your neighbors\, pull up your chair o
r a blanket and enjoy local entertainment in the summer breeze.\n\nOne sum
mer in 2013\, a bunch of music students were hanging out at Derek Kemp’s
house. He had recently received a very peculiar delivery: an alleged bloo
dy tambourine. Derek turned to his musician friends and said\, “How did
this bloody tambourine get here? Is the musical mafia out to get me?” An
d thus\, Bloody Tambourine and the Musical Mafia was born.\n\nThey’re pr
etty sure we know who delivered the tambourine\, and they’re pretty sure
it wasn’t actually blood. But it adds to the drama doesn’t it?Bloody
Tambourine and the Musical Mafia is a fun loving ragtime/indie band based
in Fort Wayne\, IN and Chicago\, IL. Specializing in songs about spooky pl
aces you go for the purpose of being spooked\, they are sure to charm you
with their whimsical lyrics\, old timey piano licks\, ethereal vocal harmo
nies and of course\, tambourine playing.\n\n*StoopSessions are sponsored b
y Mark Hanson\, State Farm Agent.
