You are invited to a special event honoring our veterans and bringing the community together in a meaningful way. Hosted by Commissioner Michelle Melin-Rogovin and Dive Bar Letter Writers, in partnership with the Historical Society of Forest Park, “Operation Rising Spirits” will take place at Robert’s Westside.
At the event, there will be a letter-writing station where attendees can create handwritten holiday cards filled with messages of gratitude and encouragement for veterans living at the Illinois Veterans Home. This simple act offers a way to brighten their day and remind them that their service is valued and appreciated.
The Historical Society of Forest Park will also showcase items from their Ameritorp collection.
