SUMMARY:NAMI Presents Mental Health First Aid: Focus on Youth
DESCRIPTION:This event is offered in partnership with D91 Parent University
 .\nAcross twenty-five countries and more than fifteen years\, this evidenc
 e-based course brings mental health awareness to everyday people. This 7 h
 our program is for participants over the age of 18 who will learn how to a
 ssist a pre-teen or teen youth who is struggling with a mental health chal
 lenge.\nThe course will be delivered by a certified instructor\, and learn
 ing will comprise of group discussions\, scenario-based activities\, share
 d lived experiences\, PowerPoint presentation and videos.\nUpon completion
 \, participants will receive a certificate. Additionally\, participants ca
 n earn 6.5 to 7.5 credits of professional development hours (CEUs or CPDUs
 ).
