Lucy Parsons, generally known as a widow of one of the Haymarket martyrs, was a giant in the labor movement herself. Considered “more dangerous than a thousand rioters” by the Chicago police, her story is complex and nuanced and still being debated to this day. Amy Binns-Calvey, volunteer at the Forest Park Historical Society, will give an hour-long presentation on Lucy’s life and work.
