Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, marking the day when news of emancipation reached the last enslaved individuals in Texas in 1865. Against the backdrop of the village hall, the Juneteenth flag will ascend, its vibrant colors symbolizing freedom, resilience, and the enduring struggle for equality. This event is not just a celebration but a poignant reminder of the journey towards justice and the importance of acknowledging and learning from our shared history. All are invited to join in this moment of reflection, unity, and progress at Forest Park Village Hall.
