Mia P. Manansala is a writer from Chicago who loves books, baking, and badass women. She is a multi-award-winning author, using humor (and murder) to explore aspects of the Filipino diaspora. Join us to hear about her newest book, Death and Dinuguan, the 6th book in her Tita Rosie’s Kitchen Mysteries series.

“Love is in the air for the citizens of Shady Palms, but Cupid’s arrow isn’t the only thing striking the town—not with another killer on the loose”.

Each mouth-watering installment in the series shares its name with a traditional Filipino dish. Dinuguan is a rich and savory Filipino stew, often called “chocolate” meat.

We’ll be joined by our friends from Pile Bookstore who will have copies available to purchase! There will also be samples of tasty Filipino chocolates to sweeten the deal!

It’s the last in the Tita Rosie’s Kitchen series, but you can find other works by Forest Park’s star author in our catalogue!
